I have spent the past ten years telling stories and making connections on the web. In doing so, I see no stronger bridge between an audience and a message than a compelling narrative, no matter the medium in which it takes shape. I am also an earnest student of digital innovation and the evolving frameworks that serve to strengthen those stories and connections.
I am a frequent speaker, writer and consultant on topics relating to web content and digital communications, most often in higher education but in general practice, as well. I am co-founder of Meet Content, a blog focused on helping higher ed web practitioners create and sustain effective web content.
In my current role as manager of web content and strategy at Tufts University, where I have worked since 2004, I oversee a range of content creation and strategy initiatives, including online news, social media, multimedia and web content.
My background is in journalism. I graduated from Boston University with a journalism degree in 2001 and spent three years working in the fast-paced online newsroom of the Boston Globe. I have also freelanced for several publications, including the Boston Herald and Boston Phoenix. I have been published in an essay collection as well as in a poetry project curated by the U.S. Poet Laureate.
